Geoff Schmidt’s life stands as an example to us all. His first book, The Busy Adult’s Guide to Making College Happen!, was written to help working adults find the time, money and motivation to get a college degree. While he makes no money off that book (he donates all royalties to single mother scholarships), he received a lot of notoriety for the tome. “The Guide” won the Axiom Best Business Book of the Year award in 2009, alongside Peter Drucker (The Five Most Important Questions You Will Ever Ask About Your Organization) and Seth Godin (Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us). It was then that Geoff realized that helping others achieve their dreams was of paramount importance.
Today most of Geoff’s published work is focused on helping companies grow. His writing focuses on helping company leaders fund their organizations and deal with leadership challenges, which is aligned with his career in the corporate world.
Geoff has led well over 100 businesses through the capital raising cycle – funding in excess of $20 billion for them in the process. He speaks globally on topics related to capital raising, growth and leadership.
He holds an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, is a CPA and runs a 20+ person team in New York dedicated to helping clients fund across markets in North America, Europe and Australasia.
